It's Hot! Now What Do I Eat? 7 Best Snacks For Summer 🤷🍦🍌🍇🍉

As temperatures rise our food cravings start to change. We want something that tastes great and make us feel hydrated and refreshed.

We conducted a companywide survey to find our favorite summer time treats. Perfect for the beach, the lake, or anywhere close to water.  Check out our top 7 picks below.

7 BEST SUMMER SNACKS - MADE SIMPLE

1. Frozen Grapes

This old school favorite has been forgotten about over the years but it’s still simple and delicious. Buy a bag of your favorite color grapes, give them a good wash, and pop them in the freezer for 2-3 hours. We made the executive decision that they are actually better when almost frozen because the texture is softer on your teeth!  We also had a suggestion of doing the same with frozen mango or pineapple, but every office has a wild card (thanks Franks 😉).

2. Avocado Pico De Gallo

Add one cado, one tomato, quarter of an onion, handful of cilantro, and a dash of salt and pepper into a food processor. Run the food processor for 10 seconds and you’re done! Out comes the simplest and most delicious healthy fat salsa. Grab a bag of your favorite tortilla chips (we recommend Nacho Beanfields showcased in this box) and you are good to go!

3. Popsicles

Our favorite choice for popsicles is Modern Pop and Good Pop. They both use the cleanest ingredients and can be found at any Whole Foods. We don’t recommend sugar and chemical filled popsicles. Look for options that use real fruit and no added sugar.

 3. Watermelon Balls

Ok this is nuts! Watermelon balls are so much more fun than normal sliced watermelon. Purchase a mini ice cream scooper and start scooping! Put your balls in a Tupperware container and store in your cooler. When you pull these bad boys out at the beach your friends and family will freak! PS… If you can find a seedless watermelon the experience is better.

 4. Chip & Gummy Snack Box

Remember when we were kids and mom would bring the Frito-Lay variety chip sampler pack to sports games, B-B-Q’s, and the beach? Well, we created something similar but with chips and gummies that are actually good for you. When you are struggling with the time to prep something at home, order this puppy and bring it with you to the beach. Your kids, friends, and family will trip about this upgrade from Cheetos and Ruffles.

5. Mini Caprese Skewers

Caprese is delicious and easy. It is also a great source of protein because of the mozzarella. Grab one box of the sweetest cherry tomatoes you can find, mozz balls from any grocery store, fresh basil leaves, and slide the items one by one onto skewers. Lastly, drizzle some balsamic vinegar over the top and eat. (Note: make sure to use fresh basil it makes a HUGE difference). This is a wonderful healthy and filling snack.

6. Cucumber, Tajin, and Lime

Sprinkle cucumber sticks or slices with Tajin (Mexican favorite) and a big squeeze of lime juice. You’ve instantly got a spicy & tangy treat that goes great with your favorite beer.

 7. Banana Nice Cream

This is insanely simple, and our biggest mind blow of the list. First, freeze banana slices. Second, put frozen banana slices into a food processor or Vitamix, or anything you have that can blend frozen bananas up (if your blender is having trouble feel free to dash your favorite plant milk in). Third, once soft texture is reached place blended bananas back in freezer for 30 minutes. Voila! You have delicious banana nice cream. Feel free to add a scoop of peanut butter or chocolate chips.
